Tony Hale Reveals Surprising Journey with Toy Story 4
Tony Hale, the talented voice behind Forky in Toy Story 4, recently shared an intriguing revelation about his experience with the film. In an interview with People magazine, Hale admitted that he was unaware of his inclusion in the final cut until the movie’s trailer was released. Despite auditioning for the role, he had concerns that he might have been replaced by a more prominent star.
“It wasn’t until I heard my voice in the Toy Story 4 trailer that I realized I was still part of the project,” Hale confessed. “Throughout the process, I kept thinking, ‘They’re going to cut me. They’re going to replace me with some huge star.’”
In Toy Story 4, Hale plays a significant role as Forky, a whimsical talking spork who embarks on a road trip with Woody (voiced by the iconic Tom Hanks) and their friends. The film explores the vast world of toys and their adventures, emphasizing themes of friendship and discovery.

He hinted that the upcoming film will explore the theme of toys versus technology. “They give you snippets of the script, and what I’ve seen so far is pretty cool,” Hale remarked. “I want to keep the rest a surprise and experience the magic of Toy Story 5 just like everyone else.”
