Jannik Sinner Passes on Golf Reunion with Carlos Alcaraz After Wimbledon Showdown
Jannik Sinner has decided to forgo a golf reunion with fellow tennis star Carlos Alcaraz, just weeks after their intense battle at Wimbledon. The Italian player, who has previously enjoyed golfing outings with Alcaraz, believes that the Spaniard’s skills far surpass his own.
Ahead of the Cincinnati Open, Sinner shared his thoughts: “My team has actually played a few rounds before the tournament here. While I’m not the best golfer, I truly enjoy spending time exploring different activities. We were just discussing the possibility of hitting the golf course soon, especially since it’s not too late in the day.”
Sinner continued, “I have a day off tomorrow, so we might play a few holes here. Last year, this was the ideal spot for golf.” He added, “In Cincinnati, there isn’t a lot to do, so we’re fortunate to have a golf course nearby. The first hole looks straightforward, but there’s a row of cars on the left side. If my ball lands there, everyone will know it’s me!”
When asked if he would be playing golf with Alcaraz, Sinner humorously remarked, “Carlos is simply too good for me. My team and I are the better golfers!”
Whether or not Sinner and Alcaraz hit the links together, it’s clear that both athletes are enjoying their time off the court in Cincinnati.
