In an exciting turn of events, comedian and actor Matt Rife has recently acquired the infamous Annabelle doll along with the legendary Ed and Lorraine Warren’s home and Occult Museum. The 29-year-old star shared the news on social media, revealing that he is now the proud owner of one of the most iconic artifacts in paranormal history.
This announcement follows the passing of Dan Rivera, the doll’s previous caretaker and a well-known paranormal investigator, who reportedly died of natural causes while on tour with the notorious doll.
Matt Rife’s Passion for the Paranormal
On Instagram, Rife expressed his enthusiasm for the purchase, emphasizing his long-standing fascination with the supernatural. “If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with the paranormal and all things haunted,” he shared. The actor also mentioned his love for “The Conjuring” films, which he considers his favorite horror movies.
Rife, along with his friend Elton Castee, has committed to being the legal guardians of the museum’s collection of haunted objects, including the Annabelle doll, for a minimum of five years. “I’m incredibly honored to take over one of the most significant properties in paranormal history,” he stated.
Plans for the Occult Museum
The duo plans to open Ed and Lorraine Warren’s home to the public, offering overnight stays and guided tours of the museum. This initiative will allow visitors to experience the rich history of the location and its eerie artifacts firsthand. Rife expressed his excitement, stating, “I couldn’t be happier to own such a prominent piece of paranormal history! I can’t wait to operate this place with the respect and care it deserves.”
In a follow-up interview with TMZ, Rife revealed that they hope to launch the tours and overnight experiences by next summer. He also clarified that while he and Castee are now guardians of the collection, they do not legally own the haunted objects. Annabelle, he assured, will return to the museum to “rest safely” after completing her final tour stops.
