Jared Allen stole the spotlight at the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony over the weekend. The former NFL superstar was officially inducted into the Hall of Fame on Saturday, joining an illustrious class that included notable names like Sterling Sharpe, Eric Allen, and Antonio Gates.

After receiving his prestigious gold jacket at the 2025 Enshrinees’ Gold Jacket Dinner held at the Canton Memorial Civic Center, Allen couldn’t resist the urge to relive his glory days with his signature sack celebration. However, he quickly discovered that suit pants are far less forgiving than his beloved football pants. As he stood up, a significant rip emerged at the back of his trousers, stretching from his rear all the way down to his kneecap.

Throughout his impressive 12-year career, which began with a fourth-round pick in 2004, Allen played for four NFL teams but made a lasting impact primarily with the Minnesota Vikings. During his tenure, he earned four All-Pro selections, participated in five Pro Bowls, and racked up an impressive 136 sacks. His remarkable talent was on display as he celebrated a sack against the Detroit Lions at Mall of America Field, showcasing his unique blend of athleticism and flair.

Allen led the NFL in sacks twice, in 2007 and 2011, and holds the record for the most safeties in a career (four) and in a single season (two). His contributions to the game were further recognized when he was inducted into the Vikings’ Ring of Honor during halftime at U.S. Bank Stadium on October 30, 2022.

After retiring in 2015, Allen’s career spanned the Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and Carolina Panthers. In his final season, he faced a heartbreaking Super Bowl loss to the Denver Broncos, marking the end of an era as it was also Peyton Manning’s last game.
