Hulk Hogan, the legendary wrestling icon, tragically passed away at the age of 71 due to an acute myocardial infarction, more commonly known as a heart attack. Recent medical records from the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center revealed that the WWE superstar had been battling chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a type of cancer affecting white blood cells, a condition he never publicly disclosed.

The examination also highlighted that Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, suffered from atrial fibrillation, a heart rhythm disorder. He experienced cardiac arrest at his luxurious Clearwater mansion, valued at $11.5 million, and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead on July 24. The cause of death was officially classified as natural.

According to a representative from the forensic center, Hogan’s family has arranged for his cremation. In the months leading up to his passing, the 71-year-old faced several serious health challenges. His wife, Sky Daily, attempted to quell concerns about his condition on social media before his death, assuring followers that his heart was “strong” and dismissing rumors of oxygen deprivation or neurological issues.

In a heartfelt message following his passing, Sky expressed her disbelief at the loss, stating, “He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed he would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time.”

Just two months prior to his death, Hogan underwent significant spinal surgery, which included a four-level anterior cervical discectomy and fusion to alleviate compressed nerves in his neck. Although he faced complications post-surgery that led to hospitalization, reports indicated he was making progress. By June, however, it was noted that he had lost sensation in his lower limbs and required assistance to walk, even though Sky maintained that he was recovering well.

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia typically develops slowly in the bone marrow, leading to an overproduction of abnormal white blood cells that struggle to fight infections, which may explain why Hogan kept his diagnosis private.

In a touching tribute, Hogan’s daughter, Brooke, reflected on their complex relationship, sharing, “My dad’s blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments.” She expressed that she felt his departure deeply before receiving the official news. To honor her father, Brooke named her daughter Molly Gene, incorporating Hogan’s surname.

His son, Nick, also paid tribute on social media, describing his father as his “best friend,” highlighting the profound impact Hogan had on his family and fans alike.

Stay tuned for more updates on the legacy of this wrestling legend and the tributes pouring in from friends, family, and fans around the world.
