However, the evening took an unexpected turn shortly after when Kane was awarded a penalty. In an unfortunate slip while taking the shot, Kane sent the ball soaring high above the crossbar, leading one fan to call it the "worst penalty I’ve ever seen."
As the match progressed, Bayern Munich’s dominance became increasingly clear. The German champions extended their lead when Konrad Laimer intercepted the ball from Djed Spence and set up Kingsley Coman, who elegantly curled the ball into the net.
