Beyoncé made sure her “Cowboy Carter” tour concluded with a bang, bringing back the iconic Destiny’s Child for a memorable reunion. The audience at the final show in Las Vegas erupted with excitement when Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland joined Beyoncé on stage for a medley featuring some of the group’s greatest hits. This surprise appearance marked their first performance together since Beyoncé’s headlining set at Coachella in 2018.

Destiny’s Child, which enjoyed massive success before going their separate ways after their last tour in 2005, has only reunited a handful of times over the past two decades. Their thrilling return during the concert came about 40 songs into the set, as they delighted fans by performing their 2004 hit “Lose My Breath.” The trio continued to captivate the crowd with Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” track “Energy,” where they showcased their vocal prowess during the song’s popular “mute challenge,” playfully emphasizing the line, “just me and my crew – big energy!”

The highlight of their four-minute cameo was undoubtedly a joyous rendition of their iconic hit “Bootylicious.” Beyoncé introduced the reunion simply and effectively, exclaiming, “Destiny’s Child, bitch,” igniting cheers from the audience. Kelly Rowland added to the fun during the “mute challenge,” playfully gesturing for silence and mouthing, “Shut up.”

Fans had speculated about a potential Destiny’s Child appearance throughout the tour, given the group’s close bond over the years. Their reunion finally came to fruition during the 32nd and final show of the “Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Tour,” which kicked off in late April. Although they had a low-key moment together in January, singing “Happy Birthday” at the 50th birthday celebration for Rowland’s husband, talent manager Tim Weatherspoon, this performance was their first since the tour began.

In addition to the Destiny’s Child reunion, Beyoncé surprised fans with another special guest: Shaboozey, who took the stage to perform their duet “Sweet Honey Buckin’.” His American flag pants paid homage to the iconic looks Destiny’s Child once sported during their performances. Shaboozey had previously shared the stage with Beyoncé during her NFL halftime show on Christmas Day but made his first appearance on this tour during the finale.

Beyoncé’s husband, Jay-Z, also joined her for the grand finale, although he had made guest appearances at other shows throughout the tour. He performed their classic track “Crazy in Love” and his own hit “N—-s in Paris,” adding another layer of excitement to an already unforgettable night.

With this spectacular closing performance, Beyoncé not only celebrated her solo achievements but also honored the legacy of Destiny’s Child, reminding fans why they continue to hold a special place in music history.
