Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt has plenty to celebrate lately. Not only has he played a pivotal role in establishing one of the most successful dynasties in NFL history, but he’s also seen the Chiefs’ fanbase expand dramatically—largely due to star tight end Travis Kelce’s romantic link with global pop icon Taylor Swift.
During a recent appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show," Hunt shared his enthusiasm for the couple, highlighting the remarkable increase in female fans the team has experienced over the past two seasons. “It’s been a whirlwind for the organization since Taylor stepped into our lives,” Hunt remarked. “She has unintentionally done an incredible job of boosting our female fanbase.”
Hunt revealed that the Chiefs’ fan demographic has shifted significantly: “We used to have a nearly equal 50-50 male-to-female ratio, but now 57% of our fans are female. I believe that’s the highest in the NFL, and there’s definitely a ‘Taylor Swift effect’ at play here.”
Fans have certainly taken notice. Signs like "Go Mr. Swift" have popped up at games, celebrating the budding romance between Kelce and Swift. The buzz around their relationship has only intensified since she made a guest appearance on the Kelce brothers’ podcast, "New Heights," capturing the hearts of fans and media alike.
Clark Hunt expressed his joy for the couple, stating, “First of all, we’re thrilled for their relationship. They’re a fantastic pair, and seeing them together is really special. That podcast episode was absolutely amazing.”
On top of the growing fan engagement, Hunt also mentioned that his daughters are particularly delighted with Kelce’s relationship with Swift, adding, “My daughters couldn’t be happier that she’s now part of the Chiefs Kingdom.”
