Rhea Seehorn Joins Star-Studded Cast of Indie Thriller ‘Eleven Days’
In exciting news for film enthusiasts, Rhea Seehorn has officially joined the ensemble cast of the highly anticipated indie hostage thriller, Eleven Days. This gripping film features an impressive lineup, including Taylor Kitsch, Diego Luna, and Jason Isaacs, and is directed by Peter Landesman, known for his work on Concussion.
Set against the backdrop of a sweltering Texas summer in 1974, Eleven Days delves into the harrowing tale of ruthless prisoner Federico Carrasco, who seizes control of the Huntsville Penitentiary. In a bold move, Father Joseph O’Brien, portrayed by Jason Isaacs, teams up with Jim Estelle (played by Kitsch), the head of the Texas Department of Corrections. Together, they brave the chaos by offering themselves as hostages in a daring attempt to outsmart Carrasco and save the lives of fellow captives.
The screenplay, crafted by Kevin Sheridan with revisions by Landesman, is based on the gripping book Eleven Days In Hell: The 1974 Carrasco Prison Siege at Huntsville, Texas by William T. Harper. Producers Vincent Newman and Vance Howard are set to bring this intense story to life, with filming scheduled to take place in Texas this September.
Rhea Seehorn, widely recognized for her critically acclaimed performance in AMC’s Better Call Saul, which garnered multiple Emmy nominations, is poised for yet another success. Fans can also look forward to her upcoming reunion with Better Call Saul creator Vince Gilligan in the much-anticipated Apple series Pluribus, set to premiere this fall.
