The New York Yankees are facing some challenges on the field lately, suffering a disappointing loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. This defeat marks their second in a row and their sixth loss in the last ten games. Adding to the team’s worries is the health status of their superstar, Aaron Judge.
The reigning American League MVP was unexpectedly removed from Saturday’s lineup due to an "elbow issue," as described by Yankees manager Aaron Boone.

During a press conference on Saturday, Boone addressed the situation, stating, "He’s dealing with an elbow issue." He also revealed that Judge had trouble throwing the ball from the outfield during Friday’s 12-5 loss to the Phillies, though he was not taken out of the game at that time.
The apparent discomfort led to an MRI, and Boone mentioned that the team was still awaiting the results. "Obviously, you asked about it in Toronto, but he felt fine on the off day. Then, last night, he couldn’t really throw well from the outfield. So, he came in today and got imaging done. It’s definitely a concern, but we’ll have to wait and see," Boone added.
In the game on Friday, Judge went hitless but did contribute with an RBI from a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning. He had been playing as the designated hitter in Wednesday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays but returned to his usual position in right field for the series against the Phillies.
As the Yankees look to turn their season around, Marcus Stroman is set to take the mound for New York Saturday, while Ranger Suarez will start for the visiting Phillies. The first pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. EDT.
